Chelsea offered chance to sign Dani Alves
Chelsea are considering a surprise move for Dani Alves after the Premier League champions were made aware of the Juventus right-back’s availability, according to reports.
The 34-year-old is currently preparing to take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday night but his future in Turin remains unclear.
The Daily Mail claims that Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign the Brazil international and Antonio Conte is interested in a shock move for the former Barcelona star.
Conte is keen to bolster his squad ahead of next season’s campaign in the Champions League, and providing competition for Victor Moses on the right flank is one of the areas the Chelsea manager is looking to strengthen.
But Chelsea will also face competition from Manchester City and Tottenham as both clubs are also monitoring Alves’ situation.
Alves, who turned 34 last month, still has one year remaining on his current contract with the Serie A champions.
Having joined from Barcelona on a free transfer last summer, Alves has made an immediate impact in Italy, helping Juventus win a domestic league and cup double.
And the Brazilian could win the third treble of his career if Juventus beat Real Madrid in Saturday’s final in Cardiff.
